How the Rice Purity Score Works
The score is a simple count from a 100-item checklist. Every checked box subtracts one point; no question is weighted more heavily than another.
The complete formula
Score = 100 - checked boxes
If 23 experiences are checked, the score is 77. If none are checked, the score is 100. If every item is checked, the score is 0.
Worked score examples
What one number records
It does record
- The total number of checked boxes.
- The corresponding total from 0 to 100.
- The arithmetic relationship between those two counts.
It does not record
- Which experiences produced the total.
- Why an item was checked or left unchecked.
- Personality, morality, health, safety, or compatibility.
No population comparison is implied
This site does not collect completed results into a documented comparison dataset. It therefore does not claim that a score is common, rare, above average, below average, or in a particular percentile.

Scoring questions
How is a Rice Purity score calculated?
Start at 100 and subtract one point for every checked box. A score of 77 means 23 boxes were checked.
Are some questions worth more points?
No. All 100 questions have the same one-point effect in this implementation.
Does the score show which experiences were checked?
No. It is only a total. Different answer combinations can produce the same score.
Is there a verified average or percentile?
Not on this site. This implementation does not collect a documented population dataset, so it does not publish a universal average or percentile.
The interactive test runs in your browser and locally saves checked boxes so you can resume.
