Taking the Rice Purity Test as a Couple

Take it separately, decide what each person wants to share, and treat every answer as optional. A score is a checklist total—not a compatibility test.

Before you start

The checklist contains explicit sexual, substance, and legal topics and is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Agree in advance that either person can skip a question, keep a score private, or stop without explanation.

Do not use a score to test honesty, infer someone’s past, or pressure them to disclose individual answers.

Best option: use separate devices

1

Take it privately

Each person opens the test on their own browser. Checked question IDs stay in that browser's local storage.

2

Choose what to share

Share the final score, a downloaded card, selected context, or nothing. Consent applies to each level of detail.

3

Delete saved checks

Use the delete control when finished, or clear this site's data in the browser settings.

If you share one device

  1. 01 The first partner completes the test and records only what they choose to keep.
  2. 02 Use “Delete and start again” to clear the first person's selections and open a blank new test.
  3. 03 Return to the test and verify that no boxes remain checked before handing over the device.
  4. 04 The second partner takes the test without viewing or reconstructing the first person's choices.

Separate browser profiles or devices provide clearer separation than repeatedly using the same local-storage area.

Agree on boundaries first

  • Do we both want to share only the final number, or discuss individual questions too?
  • Are any topics off limits before we begin?
  • Would either of us rather stop or keep a result private?
  • What would make this conversation feel respectful rather than competitive?

What a score difference means

It means two totals differ. It does not reveal which questions produced either total, why an item was checked, or whether two people are compatible.

Do not infer personality, commitment, health, or relationship quality from the numbers. Read the neutral score guide and interpretation limits before comparing.

Ready to take it separately?

The quiz saves checked IDs only in the current browser. Delete saved progress and verify that no boxes remain checked before another person uses the same browser.
